Why is cold air damaging to the lungs?
We learned that air is warmed through the nose because cold air damages the lungs. Does anyone know the physiology behind this?what i do know, that inhaling warm air is what the body need, but also the outside body likes to be cooled off, which cold air/enivironment, actually elevates the blood flow in your body. and inhaling warm air calms the body. thats why when you have a heart attack/stroke/anxiety attack. they tell you to breath deeply;slowly. this helps the warm air elevate the lungs.
