Hide Progress Bar / Timeline ?

  • hello people, and thanks for such a nice software.

    do you guys know how to hide the progress bar / control bar / timeline ? it suddenly appeared a few days ago, and wouldn't hide... and i don't know where to look in the options to hide it by default...

    any hint ?

  • ah, now i get u.

    the problem is a bad controller. the right stick isn't properly centered. this is either caused by

    1) a stick laying on its head
    2) an old stick.

    if the problem is 2) (which i guess it is), you can adjust the deadzone using advancedsettings.xml. see the online manual for how to do that (link in my signature).

    edit: if you're not up to date (say, your build is older than may 4), the setting is in xboxmediacenter.xml

    my guess is that you are talking about the my music fullscreen window/viz window.

    if that is the case, just hit white / title.

    wonder what u actually did try..

    i have had an occasional problem that had me completely mystified.

    sometimes when i played music with music player the music played fine, the title scrolled, visualisations appeared and a progress bar appeared in the top right. sounds fine - but xbmc refused to respond to any controls - so after starting one song, i couldn't load up another, or do anything, not even stop the song. effectively music player had hung until the song ended.

    i just checked and sure enough one of the controllers was upside down. picked it up, turned it over, and everything is great.

    my stress level has dropped!

  • thanks. i am talking about the green progress bar, whn playing videos (the same as when playing audio) with the running time, in the upper top right corner of the screen. i don't know how to hide it...

    anyway if that's not the right terms for naming that thing, just tell me so i can improve my english...
